We are very pleased to annouce that we are back open and in action again, although with some changes to how we run to ensure we are safe and comply with the Government guidlines.
All our locations are open to classes again. We are running smaller classes to ensure that students have enough space to socially distance and to make sure that there are not too many people in the gym at one time.
Because of this, we are currently working from a different timetable, with more classes for a shorter period of time. We are also allowing time to clean the gyms between sessions. For more information see our timetable.
Both gyms are being disinfected between every class and steam cleaned at the end of each day. All instructors are wearing masks and PPE and all students over 10 are also asked to wear masks unless they have a medical condition.
We have added extra doors and windows to our gyms where possible to allow as much ventilation as we can and all of these are open throughout all classes.
We are checking the temperature of everyone entering the gyms and keeping track and trace registers of everyone attending.
To keep the number of people in each gym down, parents are not allowed in to watch classes at the moment unless there is a specific need.
At the moment we are waiting to hear back from both Elmlea Infant School and Southville Primary School on whether we will be able to restart the after school clubs in Term 2. If we are unable to restart them face to face, then we will be running sessions on Zoom the children at these schools as we know how much they enjoy training and doing the kung fu. We will keep parents posted on this.
